"Our Mother, who is 89 years old with balance issues, has SHS caregivers every day and some overnights as well. They each provide loving, compassionate, capable care for Mom and each bring their own personal flair and talent with them. Because the caregivers are mainly comprised of active seniors, they are able to relate to Mom's advanced years both in conversation and experience. Additionally, because Caroline hires folks from our area, we have found many common ties with familiar connections in the community and people Mom has known over the years. My brother and I are very happy with SHS in every way, and most importantly, our Mother is as well!"

"I hesitate to merely refer to Seniors Helping Seniors Fox Valley as a 'service' – they have been a true support team comprised of kind, loving individuals whose dedicated assistance has allowed my aging parents (90 and 91) to remain in their home these past two years.  With my dad’s fragile health and failing vision and my mom’s dementia, Caroline’s met our daily needs for in home care for them, as well as provided emergency coverage when one or the other of them have had health crises that required additions to the schedule– sometimes at very short notice. At all times Caroline has been incredibly understanding, yet professional and efficient in scheduling coverage and overseeing any issues.  As for the quality of the team members who provide care to my parents, I agree with this quote from my dad: 'I feel privileged to know them.'  "

"Words cannot express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for our friends at Senior Helping Seniors. All the caregivers were so resourceful, caring and available. We always looked forward to their visits. Not only did they give my husband excellent care and respite for me, they enriched our lives. As we journeyed down this challenging path, none is better than Seniors Helping Seniors"

“I was attracted to the name Seniors Helping Seniors when I started looking for caregiving support for my husband, who has Alzheimer's. I met Caroline and was hooked. The challenge was getting Art to accept care from someone he didn't know. He still only wants me (NOT AN OPTION!!), but when Chris shows up, every time it's an instant connection. They go out on some outing or the other, and when he gets home, he talks about what a good time he had---even when he can't remember what movie they saw or where they ate!! Gives me a little relief every week.”

You feel your visit quickly becomes an important piece of your Seniors Helping Seniors® client’s week and you both end up looking forward to the time together.”

“Words cannot describe my sincerest gratitude to Seniors Helping Seniors. Their services have been an absolute blessing. My husband asks every day if this is the day that Bob is coming. They are more than service providers; they have become like dear friends.”
