Our Mission

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services provides our seniors with the ability to choose an independent lifestyle in their own homes, for as long as possible, with the dignity and respect they deserve. We do this by matching them with loving, caring and compassionate active mature caregivers to provide their needed services.

To ensure the best possible match, our team considers not only the care requirements of the seniors we serve, but also the personality traits, background, hobbies, and interests of each client and caregiver. The result? Genuine connections, compassionate in-home senior care, and a rewarding experience for all involved.

The Story Behind Seniors Helping Seniors®

Seniors Helping Seniors Founders and Leadership

Seniors Helping Seniors Founders and Leadership

Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom. Sparked by a personal mission to provide care for those who can’t care for themselves, the husband-and-wife team called on Kiran’s 14 years’ experience working with Mother Teresa. What started as an unwavering determination to positively impact the lives of seniors now represents a thriving concept that’s forged caring relationships around the world.

Rooted in our founders’ vision and commitment to serve others, the Seniors Helping Seniors® movement began in Pennsylvania in 1998. There, we made our first match between caregiver and client, leading to a lasting friendship. Since then, we’ve expanded to include hundreds of locations across the U.S. and internationally.

Today, we continue to build out our culture of care, regularly adding new services to better assist seniors and refining our team training to provide the most client-centric experiences. While we’re proud to evolve our offerings to meet the needs of today’s senior community, one thing remains constant in everything we do — Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services is dedicated to Bringing Love into the Lives of Seniors with Dignity and Respect®.

"We have had and are still having such a positive experience. Amos, the owner, came to our home to assess what our needs were. He called me each week to check on my husband's progress. He is kind, caring, and professional with a heart of gold. I was impressed that an owner of a company was out there in the field with his amazing caregivers. Amos made sure that my husband, myself, and Andrea, our amazing caregiver, were doing well. That is certainly above and beyond. We cannot recommend Seniors Helping Seniors enough!" - Roni H.

"The 'Seniors Helping Seniors' team- Amos and Andrea are outstanding individuals. I do not believe you can find better caring and care for your loved ones. They also exhibit superior support for the entire family. During these trying times the team’s kindness, knowledge and excellent work ethic are hard to beat. I highly recommend Seniors Helping Seniors to anyone who is in need of home care for their loved one. They have been with us every step of the way through these very stressful and troubling times. You will definitely feel the sincerity from this team." - Dianne S.

"Amos Marvel and his team at Seniors Helping Seniors Reseda are being enormously helpful to my sister. They are helping her organize her finances so that she manages better and has a better allocation of her limited income. This is in addition to helping her with medical appointments, sort out her belongings and day-to-day household chores. I am so grateful that she has such caring support as I am not physically nearby."- Jonathan K.

“When I signed on to work with Amos and Seniors Helping Seniors, I was pleasantly surprised to find that his company was not using a 'business as usual' model. It immediately felt different, more engaging. The detail, organization, and cohesiveness exemplified by the obvious painstaking work he’s done is more than I have ever experienced in my many years as a professional caregiver. And how refreshing! I have never been more impressed with a company & owner in this industry as I have with Amos. It’s just wonderful to see the support, compassion, and empathy given to the families, and to know that same support extends to the caregivers, as well. It feels so good to know that the owner is there for you, and I am so excited to be a part of the team.” - Sandy H.

“I am so happy to be working with Amos at Seniors Helping Seniors. I really look forward to seeing my clients each day and wish I would have looked into this type of employment sooner! The owner Amos truly cares about the needs and comfort of both clients and caregivers. He takes the time to really listen and make the best match for both client and caregiver. I've been happy with everything from training to actual in home care giving and can't say enough good things about this company!” - Andrea D.
