"I just wanted to say thank you. My mom says she always looks forward to Maria coming over, she is so happy. My mom actually asked me why I came to visit during her time with her! She said I had to go because it was her time with Maria."

"We have been blessed beyond our wildest hopes by having Steve come every week as a companion while I do various errands. He was an answer to prayer, as my husband did not want a woman caregiver. Each time Steve comes, he arrives with a smile and a warm greeting for my husband. His enthusiasm as he arrives has made us feel good about this relationship, and after just a few visits my husband mentioned that Steve is really a quality person. I would heartily agree. It has not been easy for Steve as my husband either cannot or does not care to do some of the things that one might do to entertain the other, such as games and puzzles. Steve has been quite creative in coming up with ideas of things to do, in addition to sharing about himself and all the things he has done. We are so glad he is willing and able to share our need by his presence every week."

"I live independently in my own home; I have also had a few lifestyle changes including joint replacements. So, I explored personal in-home care support and contacted Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services. A plan was quickly put in place for my care a few days a week. I am very fortunate for all the help from my Seniors Helping Seniors® caregiver."

“For many elderlies, the pandemic really sent their feelings of loneliness and isolation right through the roof! No one should have to combat loneliness. Sometimes the only thing you can do is give yourself. I enjoy my Seniors Helping Seniors® client’s stories of their past. Just listening to what they have lived through and hearing their views of the present and the future can be an eye-opening experience. I really enjoy my visits! I hope that my presence is one of their presents for the week. Being a senior myself, the benefits work both ways.”
