Our Story

Priorities, Passion and Purpose!

A calling for helping others led franchisee Tina Boggs to Seniors Helping Seniors!

For the first 10 years of my career, I focused on climbing the corporate ladder. I never thought about slowing the pace, but after the birth of my first child, my priorities shifted. I began the struggle of balance and purpose. Soon after becoming new parents, my husband and I found ourselves managing the health challenges and decline of both our mothers.

Struggling to find balance and deliver on our new responsibilities, I decided to take a break from my corporate IT career and tried various, less-demanding roles. During those years, I became very strong in my faith and did a lot of mission work with my church which helped me identify a passion for helping others.

Within a few years of each other both my mother and mother-in-law passed away. When my mom passed away, I got to see firsthand God at work and felt a very strong calling that I was to do something in the health care, hospice, or the home care space, but really didn't know what that looked like.

The Perfect Fit:

When the Seniors Helping Seniors model was presented to me, it was like a glove.....It fit perfectly for where my priorities, passion and purpose would collide.

We employ older adults to help seniors with care, day-to-day tasks, and to provide companionship. We are passionate about ALL seniors and veteran families! Helping families navigate getting the care they need to stay in their own homes for as long as possible is what I love most about my role at Seniors Helping Seniors. We love to partner with Home Health, PT & OT, Palliative and Hospice care teams to ensure our clients are getting a wholistic care plan across all entities providing the care.

"Just wanted to send you a note thanking you for all your generosity and kindness you showed me. This was one of the most difficult times in my life and You, Darlene, Lisa, Andrea, and Peace helped me thru it. I relied on you all for everything in my daily life but what made Seniors Helping Seniors special was the love you all showed me. You all showed me what a true giving Christian looks like. As far as with Darlene, she always has positive and helpful approach. She is one special lady and I will miss her smiling face. But I know she is proud of me in how far I have come. I will always have a special place in my heart for all of you! Hugs! Kim"

"Tina has put together the literal Dream Team to care for my 93-year-old grandmother! The time and attention that she took to understand our needs was remarkable. She selected three of the most amazing women to provide care and each of them has added so much to our home. I can’t say enough to express just how wonderful Seniors Helping Seniors has been for our family."

"I live independently in my own home; I have also had a few lifestyle changes including joint replacements. So, I explored personal in-home care support and contacted Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care services. A plan was quickly put in place for my care a few days a week. I am very fortunate for all the help from my Seniors Helping Seniors® caregiver."

“For many elderlies, the pandemic really sent their feelings of loneliness and isolation right through the roof! No one should have to combat loneliness. Sometimes the only thing you can do is give yourself. I enjoy my Seniors Helping Seniors® client’s stories of their past. Just listening to what they have lived through and hearing their views of the present and the future can be an eye-opening experience. I really enjoy my visits! I hope that my presence is one of their presents for the week. Being a senior myself, the benefits work both ways.”
